SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Anything For Mom

Hi! This is Julie here from Cards By Cricut with a new post for Stuck On U Sketches. This week our Die Cut Challenge is Anything For Mom. With Mother's Day quickly approaching we all need a card for our wonderful mothers. I decided to make a card featuring my mom's favorite color...yellow. I also decided to stamp a flower for her love of flowers. My mom always has a flower garden in her backyard. So I know that this card will mean a lot to her.
I started out by using a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" yellow card base. I cut the gray layer to 3-3/4" x 5". The white layer was cut to 3-1/2" x 4-3/4". I stamped the flower onto the white layer first then I stamped the sentiment. Next, I stamped the smaller butterfly in yellow ink and then I die cut the two butterflies out. I then glued the bigger butterfly onto the card and then I glued the smaller butterfly onto the bigger one. I then placed a gold sequin on
top of the two butterflies and my card is done. I think my mom will like it very much and I hope it makes her Mother's Day a little more special.
Thanks so much for coming to SOUS and looking at my blog post. I hope you join us for this Die Cut Challenge - Anything For Mom. Just link your project up and have a chance to be one of our top 3. Have a great day! :)

May 1 Die Cut Challenge, Mothers

Happy May Day!
A new month and a new month of challenges to share with you folks!
Today we want to share our new Die Cut Challenge
and we are celebrating the woman in our lives with a
Mothers Day Challenge.

Of course you can also think of this challenge for any
of the important gals in your life! Not just mom's!
Girlfriends, daughters, sisters, grandma!

Just make sure to add some die cut to your project and let us know what you used.

Leah here today and this page centers around a couple of my best girlfriends and
our daughters. We each only have one daughter, so kinda special!

I used a mix of pre cut die cuts, electronic die cuts and stickers that belonged
to the paper collection.

Before you go, let's share some layouts from our incredible
April 10th Sketch by Nanne!

Car Lover

Hi SOUS friend! It's Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) to share my layout using the April 24th sketch created by Nanne. How awesome is this sketch?!

I love the versatility here &  the room for multiple photos!
Here is what I created:

I dug deep into my stash for this one! I knew I had some die cut patterned paper in my bin from ages ago (think 2009) that would be great for this page! The paper is from My Mind's Eye and I have been hoarding it for YEARS! The picture is also an older one, from 2010, of my son checking out a dragster at a local pumpkin patch. He was all about cars, & all vehicles for that matter, when he was little!

The corrugated alphas are from American Crafts, the "slow down" acetate shape is from Studio Calico & the 50c die cut is from MME.

All of the small label stickers are fro Jenni Bowlin (also year old) & the "good times" sticker is from Basic Grey.

We would love it if you played along with us! You can link up here here if you do. We love to see your creations!
Thanks for visiting & stay crafty, y'all!
