Quick Introduction...

We are being a little sneaky and getting this wonderful new lady in before the Blog Hop starts! LOL! We are very excited to welcome a new face to our Die Cut Design Team, so please help us in welcoming Tracey....here is a little about her in her own words....

Hello.......I'm Tracey
I live in Australia .....My husband is Canadian and we have  four wonderful children...........14, 16, 18 and 21. I am in the process of creating Scrapbook Albums for each of them. I also enjoy making cards and gifts for family and friends.  Visiting Thrift Shops would have to be my other hobby......., I often find fabulous embellishments which I use on my creations.
I absolutely love my Cricut! My husband would tell you that my hobby is collecting the cartridges - not scrap booking!
Thankyou so much to SOUS for inviting me to be part of their fabulous Design Team!

..............................................

We are the ones so very happy and honored to have you joining us Tracey! So thank you!
We as a Design Team have been working really hard creating, working on blog hop details
and posts for our personal blogs and getting candy together for this blog hop
and can not wait to have you visit us!
We look forward to it as we hope you do as well!

See you soon!

March 23 Die Cut challenge ~ Bunnies Etc.

Happy Friday everyone! This week we observed the official first day of Spring here in the USA and other Northern hemisphere regions. The weather was diverse across the country but for sure most of us are ready for celebrating Spring .. and all things green and a little warmer.  Along with that our thoughts turn toward another observance  right around the corner .. Easter.  Although a religious holiday, millions of kiddos will be hoping that the Easter bunny will be making a  visit to their home and hiding some eggs for them to find.

So, with that in mind, the Die Cut challenge we have for you this time is:

Now we do ask that your project be new as of March 23rd and that you use a Die Cut tool or machine .. no stamp. We are broadening the challenge to include things related to bunnies .. for those of you who do not specifically have a bunny image but want to play.

While you are here, I wanted to remind you that next Friday we are hosting our "Get to Know Me" Blog Hop. There we be tons of projects and lots of Blog Candy along the way. This is going to be an opportunity to get to know our DT members just a little bit better. You won't want to miss!

So, are you ready for some inspiration? The Design Team has  done an outstanding job once again~ We are so proud of  our designers .. Nanne, Leah and I feel so fortunate to have such a great group of talented ladies on our team. Okay, here we go ..

March 16 ~ Original Sketch ~

Hello, scrappers! Wow! The weeks are flying by!! Gosh ... time for Spring Break, planting flowers (at least here in Texas) and watching the birds gather twigs for their nests. Maybe go on a little vacay with the kids or see family. And oh my scrappy goodness, tomorrow is St Patty's Day!  But here at SOUS it is time to think about scrapping! If so, you are going to need a new sketch and we have just the ticket! Another Original Sketch by one of our co-leaders. Something fairly simple to let those creative juices start to boil. Hmm, as I sit here looking at the sketch, I"m thinking I took a bit of creative license .. but that is actually what it's all about .. giving you a place to start when you need it.

So, let take some time to see what our design team has done with this week's sketch. Prepare to be impressed!

March 9 Die Cut Challenge ~ Cameo/silhouette

Yay, it's Friday again and time for another Stuck on U Sketches Die Cut challenge! Grab a cup of coffee because today is a longer post  than usual. We have lots to share!

We are excited to present this week's Die Cut challenge which is:

Time to put those thinking caps on, ladies! But really, it's not as hard as you might think! There are tons of images out there that can be cut that way! For example the Cricut A Child's Year cartridge is mostly silhouettes. Just be sure that you use a die or die cut machine versus a stamp.

Before we get to our DT inspiration, we want to introduce you to a new DT member! One of us was surfing the web in regard to Silhouette's Cameo Die Cut machine when we stumbled across Lisa's blog. We were all super impressed and couldn't wait to ask her to join our team! Here is what Lisa has to tell us about herself:

'I've been married to a wonderful Air Force man for almost 13 years now, and we have two daughters, ages 10 and 8.  I'm originally from Texas, and I'll always be a Texan at heart.  Being a military family, though, takes us all over the world.  We're currently living in Germany, and loving every minute of it!  Back in the States, I taught 3rd and 4th grade for 9 years, but I'm taking a break right now to enjoy being  with my family and our travels around Europe. I've been crafty all my life, and I started scrapbooking right after my hubby and I got married.  Over a year ago, I started making cards and started my blog, Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons, and I've never looked back!  My favorite tools to use when I craft are my Cricut and Silhouette Cameo electronic cutting machines."

But that's not all!!!! We also have a second new Die Cut team member!! Elizabeth Currie-Matsko is joining us as well.  Many of you already know Elizabeth from the Cricut MB and follow her blog, 217 Creations. We are absolutely head over heels that she is going to be part of our team! Here is a short bio from Elizabeth:

"My name is Elizabeth Currie-Matsko. I am a thirty something wife and mother of 3 rambunctious boys. Two of my boys are Autistic and crafting has become a shared passion for us. I have always enjoyed art, sewing, coloring, basically anything creative. I started scrapbooking in 1999 after I got married. I love sharing and teaching. As a result, my posts are very tutorial in nature and usually have lots of pictures and full instructions. Even though I started by making layouts, I find them very stressful. I enjoy making cards the most followed by altered art and mini albums. I look forward to joining the SOUS Die Cut Team!"

So, now it is time to share what our amazing team has done with this week's challenge:

Isn't that some awesome inspo? Remember that you will have 2 weeks to upload your project to SOUS! We can't wait to see how you interpret our challenge!

March 2nd ~ Original Sketch ~

Happy March, everybody! We are so glad that you came by to visit us today! We adore  our followers and appreciate all your uplifting comments. And we LOVE seeing the projects you create in response to our challenges! That is one of the greatest things about having this challenge blog: seeing how the challenges come to life in your scrap room!

Even though many of you are still knee deep in snow, we thought we might throw some thoughts of Spring your way with today's sketch .. another original by one of our team leaders.

Also, we have a new Design Team member joining us this week. When we came across Charlotte's work, we knew right away that we wanted to add her to our team! Please be sure to welcome her!! Here is a little bit about Charlotte in her own words:

"Hi! My name is Charlotte Brochu and I live in Alberta, Canada. I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart for 33 years. I am the mother of 3 beautiful girls and the grandmother of one cute little grandson.  I work part time as a University Facilitator in the field of Education and also baby sit my grandson. I started scrapping about 13 years ago and have watched as this craft has grown by leaps and bounds! I'm always amazed and in awe of the new products coming out. Things sure have changed since I started and I can't wait to see where it will be going. I love to try new things and to grow as a scrapper! I"m very excited to be joining the Design Team at Stuck On U Sketches and look forward to meeting some new "Scrappy" friends!"

Okay! Time for some Design Team inspiration!
