SOUS Die Cut Challenge: Sketchbook Cover

Hey hey... It's me, Helen from Living My Given Life, today wanna share with you a project I did to gear up for 2015!

Can you believe it that today is the last day we are in 2014? When we wake up tomorrow morning, we are in 2015!!! Are you ready to start a new year? I am :)

I have a list I made in the last couple of days that I want to do in 2015, some are new things and some are things I want to restart.

Sketching is one of the new things. I found this big sketch book with plain cover at Barnes & Noble book store for only $8.99! This is perfect for what I wanna do.

I decorated the book cover with some paper doilies, washi tapes (CTMH), gold sequins (CTMH) and mini stapler (CTMH)

For the big year title, I cut the 2015 with my Silhouette Cameo using DCWV glitter cardstock and the triangle border I cut the glitter cardstock using the Triangles Cutting plate from Taylored Expressions.

The white polkadots is very easy to do. I trace the numbers, and then start stamping the dots using the eraser of my daugther's pencil. I used CTMH White Archival Ink. I heat set it for a quick dry. Then I glued the numbers and triangle border.

Easy and quick one :)

Now, it is your turn to get your die cut machine out and play with us this week with EVERYTHING NEW YEAR theme! Link you your project HERE! I cannot wait to check them out :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

The clock strikes 12 - Happy New Year!!!

Hey, hey, hey...Katy here with the SOUS Die-Cut Team, bringing you another "New Year" project!

New Year's Day is VERY SPECIAL to me...20 years ago I had my first son...first baby of the New Year in the town we lived in at the time. I instantly fell in LOVE with him and with the date!

As much as I wanted to do a Happy Birthday Card for him, I decided to go traditional...a shaker card with a little bit of bling!

-----------------------------------------------
Here's a close-up of the wine glasses I used...you can see more detail shots on my Blog as well as a direct link to the files I used.

You have until January 9th to play along with our Anything New Year Challenge...so please go link up your favorite DIE-CUT New Year project!

Happy New Year

Happy Monday everyone.......Its Tracey here with you to share a layout I've created for the Any Thing "New Year" Die cut challenge. I still have so many holiday photos to scrap....these ones seemed perfect for this challenge because they were taken on the 1st of January 2012.

I have used Cricut Martha Stewart 'Seasonal Cake Art' to cut Happy New Year, the stars were cut with George. I also followed along with the Stuck on U Sketches December 19  challenge.

Be sure to visit us everyday for more inspiration.

Die Cut Challenge - Anything New Year

Hi and welcome. This is Julie from Cards By Cricut with today's Die Cut Challenge - Anything New Year. I can hardly believe that we will soon be celebrating 2015. Where did the year go? I just seems like yesterday that I was putting away Christmas decorations for Christmas last year. Boy that flew by. Today I have a card for you that I created. It is of this cute penguin and his top hat and cane. I chose this little guy because he reminds me of all the dapper parties we go to this time of year. I cut him out at 3.90 from Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge. I also used stickles on his bow tie and cane.
For more info about what I did on this project please go to my blog Cards By Cricut. I hope to see all of you with projects of your own for this challenge. The sky is the limit on this one so have a little fun with it. Thanks for stopping by SOUS and have a great weekend!

The glasses are also in the SIL store, I just layered one behind the bottle and the other on top..

Joyeux Noel

Hey y'all & a very Merry Christmas day to all who celebrate this miraculous holiday! It's Stephanie popping in quickly today to share my layout using the last SOUS sketch of this year!! Here is a reminder of the wonderful sketch by Nanne:
And here is my layout:

I started with the fabulous patterned paper from Elle's Studio. It was premade with the different layers & patterns so I simply added to it!
The sticker snowflake &  the ornaments here are from Basic Grey. I pulled them from my stash & can't even remember how old they are! I love when I finally use older products that I have been hoarding.

The "Joyeux Noel" pennant is from Imaginisce. I have used products from several different manufacturers on this layout. It's so great when I can make that happen! The stare are a mix of Pink Paislee, Martha Stewart  & some punched with my favorite star punch.

The glitter alphas are from AC Thickers. The "December" tag is from Teresa Collins.

I adore this picture from Christmastime 2009 when Ty was just a baby!!
Hopefuly y'all will get a chance to play along with this fun sketch! If you do, make sure to link up here   so we can see your creations!!
Hope the day is fabulous  & filled with wonderful moments!
Peace & love,
~Stephanie

I Will Always Love You

Hi! It's Charlotte here today to share a layout done with the December 19th sketch. I've been in a wedding mode lately...well mostly I just need to get these albums done with and clean up the gigantic mess in my scraproom! LOL! BUT..the good news is that this sketch was another perfect one for me to do my layout with!

I am madly using up my stash of flowers and sparkly things! So much fun!

I used a few cuts done with my Silhouette to add onto the doilies. The love circle doubles as my title and I tucked it under and then over the photo.

Here's a reminder of what the sketch looked like.

We'd love to see what you create with this week's sketch, so make sure to link up your entries. You'll find it on the sidebar!

Fun on ice

Happy holidays to everyone! I'm Eli from scrap-colors to share with you a page with the current sketch.
For this layout I chose a very simple and straightforward style: white background, patterned papers and a few embellishments, to give greater emphasis to the photos.
No particular tricks to show: sorry. They are very busy days!
I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Christmas Eve

Hello!
This is Rosie from As Seen In My Scrapbook with my take on another fabulous sketch by Nanne. Pulling out all my Christmas products for Christmas cards and December Daily motivated me to finally scrap these photos from last Christmas ;))

As you can see, I've turned this single page sketch in to a double page layout, the easiest way to do so is to duplicate the 2nd page as a "mirror image" of the sketch.

Here is a closer look at the left side:

and now the right side:

Here's another shot of the 2 pages together.
{supplies: card stock-Bazzil; paper, chipboard, sequins, sticker-Tinsel & Co. Teresa Collins; pearl & rhinestone flourish-Prima}

Click on the current sketch challenge in the sidebar to link up your creation with the sketch!
