Party Cruise-DC Arrow

Hi fellow scrappers..
It's Nanné here to share a fun layout I created for today's die cut reveal: ARROW..
My eldest son Aaron went on a party cruise last weekend and I seen a few photos of him on his facebook page while he was partying with his friends.. I decided to surprise him by creating a fun layout to show case one of those photos..

Here is what I created:

I did not add his photo to it yet., I need to do a little bit more stalking..LOL

How about a few close ups:
I absolute love these happy hour glasses.. I found those in the Pretty Paper Graphics online store..
You can find the cutting file HERE

Most all of the die cuts are located in the SIL store and I used my
Silhouette Cameo to cut them all... I also used digital papers, which made
printing and cutting my die cuts a breeze..

and their you have my fun cruise themed layout, do play along with our fun ARROW die cut challenge.. you have two weeks to submit your project..

Till next time..
Hugs

Die Cut Challenge - Arrows

Hi and welcome to Stuck On U Sketches. This is Julie here from Cards By Cricut. Today I have my project for the Die Cut Challenge - Arrows. This was such a neat idea and I will have to admit I did not have any idea what I was going to do. I first thought of a card but nothing came to mind. Then I thought of a layout and I knew I had this really cute picture of my new niece Elise. So I decided to do a layout with it and have some arrows on the page. I got onto Cricut Design Space and found some arrows I really liked and it developed from there.
I used paper from both a DCWV Little Miss paper pack and Stampin' Up! I also used ephemera from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge collection. This is such a beautiful collection with all the pink, yellow, and taupe. I used my Cricut Explore to cut out the arrows and I used some Stampin' Up! Sizzix Thinlit Dies for the "Happy You" title. I haven't thought of what to say yet that is why it is still empty in the journal area.
Thank you so much for coming to SOUS and we really hope you stay awhile and check out some of the amazing projects that the Design Team has done. Now get your supplies out and join us for this Die Cut Challenge - Arrows. Just use the Mister Linky on the side to upload your project. Thanks again and have a great weekend!

Arrows Die Cut Challenge

Hey folks! Leah here today to share our last challenge for the month!
We have some crazy news to share with you
all next month, so make sure to stop in and see Nanne on June 5!
Today we share our new Die Cut Challenge
<<<
Arrows
>>>
We look forward to seeing what you do.
Remember, let's say you want to use some great stamped arrows,
you may do so, but please include some other die cutting
to your project and let us know what you did.
And onto my layout.

I decided to use arrows to die cut into the background paper. I also thought it was fun
to use this arrow pattern paper that I found. The arrows also help to highlight the area
with the photos by making a bit of a frame.

This lantern cut is a favorite of mine! It is so detailed and so fun! I carried it around in
my hand for awhile before working any further on this page! LOL!
Oh, maybe I should also explain my title...my kids called Yosemite, Hiking Gosemite.
The name kinda stuck so that's still what we call it, even with kids that know the right name!

I also got one more arrow in using this fun camping badge die cut.

So now, me share our Top 3 from the May 8 Sketch Challenge.
I also want to apologize for the linking issues!
Thanks for trying to get them sorted out and still sharing with us!

Patch Love

Hey SOUS friends!!
It's Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) to share my layout using the latest sketch, created by Leah.
Here is what a look at my page:

I pretty much stuck to the sketch completely! I loved it and didn't feel the need to change things!
Most of my papers are older ones that I pulled from my stash, but the pink circle paper is from Bella Blvd. Sophisticates collection.

This photo is from our annual trip to the pumpkin patch, in 2010!! My daughter loves searching for just the "right" pumpkin! The wood veneer hearts & alphas are from Studio Calico.

We hope you get a chance to play along with this awesome sketch! Link up in the sidebar-we'd love to see your creations!

Happy Easter- (a little late) :)

Good morning, it's Charlotte here from Scrapsational with a layout to show you that I did with the May 22nd sketch. I'm trying to catch up on the grandkids albums, so I actually used this same sketch to do 2 layouts which are basically the same, one for each of them. I find this is a huge time saver for me. Takes the guess work out and gives me 2 layouts! :)

It's a tradition for us to bless Easter baskets with food and then go home to share it with each other.  The little ones really look forward to doing this and filling their baskets with goodies.

Remember to link up your layouts done with this sketch on the side bar! We'd love to see what you've created!

This is relax!

Good morning, friends from around the world. Today, it's up to me, Eli, show a new interpretation of the sketch of Leah.
Here in Italy the summer is finally coming and it's time to think about tanning. For me it is always a torture because I have light skin and immediately became red as a tomato. But I love the sun and can not resist when the sky is clear and the heat caresses the skin.
And here I am, in this photo, in an effort to become, if not chocolate, something more than a cheese.

A page really simple, with few embellishments, to emphasize the paper background that is already so beautiful.

Good summer everyone, and see you soon.

Capitol - May 22nd Sketch

Hello everybody, great to see you here at
 Stuck On U Sketches
 again.

My, how time flies.

Jane with you today with my take
on Leah's fabulous sketch, which you
will find on the right side bar, and which
will also take you to the post for you
 to enter your interpretation
 of the sketch.

We sure hope you get time to
 play along with us again.

So, here's my layout....

Using some long forgotten papers from
 Prima
 "Sparkling Spring"
 Collection.

Chipboard letters for the title (unknown), upon which
I have used Opals Embossing Enamel
 "Tarkine" (is that a colour?)

A Kaiser bling flourish "Ice Flourish".

Gorgeous Prima flowers
 "Gallery Roses Pierre"
 "Parisa Mayfair Mix"
 and
 "Miss Godivas Blush"
 (beautiful names, don't you think!).

Doily and lace from stash.

Punched edge Martha Stewart
 "Infinite Loops"
 Mega Punch.

Another beautiful memory from our recent trip to the States.

We were really lucky to see the Capitol Building.
Within two weeks of our visit, it was
 completely covered in scaffolding.
 I think it still is.
 Whew!!

I hope I have been able to give you a little
inspiration, and don't forget to return
every day for more inspiration
 from my SOUS Sisters.

Love & Hugs

May 22 Sketch - Teammates

Hello SOUS friends!
It's Rosie and a new sketch means some fun time in my scrappy room and I hope you'll be inspired to spend some time with this fabulous sketch!

As usual you can find the latest sketch in the sidebar on your right :) and here's my layout:

{supplies: cardstock-American Crafts & Bazzill; mist-Dylusions postbox red; patterned paper-Teresa Collins & Fancy Pants; embossing folders-Darice}

I immediately fell in love with the stripes in the sketch and decided to create my own. I grabbed some paper scraps and made my own stripe "stencil" and misted with red mist.

I felt that the white card stock was too bright so after the mist dried I inked the white portions with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.

To add some interest to the banners I embossed them and it didn't matter that they were too long to emboss fully as only the portions peeking out from behind the photo needed to be embossed so I ran them through twice.

I also added ink to the "Game Day" and "Teammates" die cuts to tone them down and help them "go better" with the baseballs which are an off white colour. The baseballs are all fussy cut from patterned paper.

Link us up with your version of the sketch and come back tomorrow for a new spin on the sketch!

Thanks for stopping by!

May 22 Sketch

Hi friends. Leah here today to share my sketch with you
all and to share my interpretation of it as well. Simple design
but I am sure you'll all blow us away with what
you do with it. Not to mention the amazing team here!
Looking forward to seeing it all.

I made a bright and playful layout featuring a fun picture of
my oldest kiddos from last year at the boardwalk.
They sat together and rode the kids roller coaster over and over
again, it was super cute!

Since the layout is busy with color and prints, I kept the embellishments
simple by adding stickers matching this paper collection and a few sparkly enamel dots.

Let me also share our Top 3 from our Mothers Day
Die Cut Challenge.
Thank you to all you lovely ladies for having shared with us.

Have a great weekend buddies!
